Ephesians 2

- But because of his great love for us,
God, who is rich in mercy,

seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his
kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3

- For this reason I kneel before the
Father,

being,

Ephesians 4

- As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I
urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

patient, bearing with one another in love.

- Make every effort to keep the unity of
the Spirit through the bond of peace.

- There is one body and one Spirit--

whom you were sealed for the
day of redemption.
31 You must put away every kind of bitterness,
anger, wrath, quarreling, and
evil, slanderous talk.
32 But instead, be kind to one another,
compassionate, forgiving one
another, just as God in Christ
also forgave you.32
Ephesians 5

- Be imitators of God, therefore, as
dearly loved children

- and live a life of love, just as
Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and
sacrifice to God.

- Submit to one another out of reverence
for Christ.

- Wives, submit to your husbands as to
the Lord.

- For the husband is the head of the
wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the
Savior.

- Now as the church submits to Christ,
so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

- Husbands, love your wives, just as
Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

her by the washing with water through the word,

radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but
holy and blameless.

- In this same way, husbands ought to
love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves

- After all, no one ever hated his own
body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church--

- for we are members of his body.

- "For this reason a man will leave his
father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become
one flesh."[2]

- This is a profound mystery--but I am
talking about Christ and the church.

- However, each one of you also must
love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her
husband.
