We would love to share your passage with our readers.
Song of Solomon 2
- 8
- Listen! My lover! Look! Here he comes,
leaping across the mountains, bounding over the hills.
- 9
- My lover is like a gazelle or a young
stag. Look! There he stands behind our wall, gazing through the
windows, peering through the lattice.
- 10
- My lover spoke and said to me, "Arise,
my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me.
- 11
- See! The winter is past; the rains are
over and gone.
- 12
- Flowers appear on the earth; the
season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.
- 13
- The fig tree forms its early fruit;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me."
- 14
- My dove in the clefts of the rock, in
the hiding places on the mountainside, show me your face, let me hear
your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.
- 16
- My lover is mine and I am his; he
browses among the lilies.
Song of Solomon 8
- 6
- Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy[1]
unyielding as the grave.[2]
It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame.[3]
- 7
- Many waters cannot quench love; rivers
cannot wash it away. If one were to give all the wealth of his house
for love, it[4] would
be utterly scorned.
Isaiah 43
- 1
- But now, this is what the LORD says--
he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not,
for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
- 2
- When you pass through the waters, I
will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not
sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be
burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
- 3
- For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy
One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush[1]
and Seba in your stead.
- 4
- Since you are precious and honored in
my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you,
and people in exchange for your life.
- 5
- Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I
will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west.
- 6
- I will say to the north, `Give them
up!' and to the south, `Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from
afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth--
- 7
- everyone who is called by my name,
whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made."
Isaiah 55
- 10
- As the rain and the snow come down
from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and
making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and
bread for the eater,
- 11
- so is my word that goes out from my
mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I
desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
- 12
- You will go out in joy and be led
forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before
you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
- 13
- Instead of the thornbush will grow the
pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be
for the LORD's renown, for an everlasting sign, which will not be
destroyed.
Isaiah 61
- 10
- I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul
rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his
head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
- 11
- For as the soil makes the sprout come
up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make
righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.
Isaiah 62
- 1
- For Zion's sake I will not keep
silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her
righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing
torch.
- 2
- The nations will see your
righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new
name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow.
- 3
- You will be a crown of splendor in the
LORD's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
Isaiah 63
- 7
- I will tell of the kindnesses of the
LORD, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the
LORD has done for us-- yes, the many good things he has done for the
house of Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses.
- 8
- He said, "Surely they are my people,
sons who will not be false to me"; and so he became their Savior.
- 9
- In all their distress he too was
distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and
mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the
days of old.
